Our flagship program. Learn the art of leverage and technique through our Team Curran curriculum โ from your very first class to advanced competition prep.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a grappling-based martial art that teaches you to control and submit opponents using leverage, technique, and body mechanics โ not size or strength. It's often called "the gentle art" because it empowers smaller practitioners to defend themselves effectively.
At Open Guard, our BJJ program follows the Team Curran curriculum, a structured, proven system developed by Professor Jeff Curran and Adam Miller. Whether you're brand new or working toward your next belt, every class builds on the last โ giving you a clear path from White Belt through Black Belt.
Classes include warm-ups, technique instruction, drilling, and live rolling (sparring). We offer both Gi (traditional kimono) and No-Gi (shorts and rash guard) training, so you develop a well-rounded game.
